 To obtain the National Tourism Registry, it is essential to determine the appropriate CIIU code before starting any registration process.

 Here is a list of the main CIIU codes approved by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism for the National Tourism Registry (RNT).

Accommodation (Hotels, Hostels, Vacation Homes, Airbnb)

• 5511: Hotel accommodation

• 5512: Apart-hotel accommodation

• 5513: Vacation center accommodation

• 5514: Rural lodging (tourist farms, glamping)

• 5519: Other types of visitor accommodation (Airbnb, short-term vacation rentals)

Travel Agencies and Tour Operators

• 7911: Travel agency activities

• 7912: Tour operator activities

Tourist Transportation

• 4922: Mixed-use passenger transport

• 4923: Road passenger transport

• 5011: Passenger maritime transport

Tour Guides

• 7990: Other reservation services and related activities (often used by independent or freelance tour guides)

Recreational and Adventure Activities

• 9329: Other recreational and entertainment activities not elsewhere classified (n.e.c.)

• 9319: Other sports activities

Cultural Activities and Tourist Shows

• 9001: Literary and artistic creation

• 9002: Theatrical and live musical performances

• 9003: Cultural event organization and entertainment activities

 Digital Platforms (such as Airbnb, Booking, etc.)

Although these platforms themselves do not register, hosts or property managers must use a CIIU code compatible with accommodation services (e.g., 5519) to comply with RNT registration.

• The CIIU code must be active in your RUT (Tax ID Registry) to proceed with the National Tourism Registry (RNT) in Colombia.
