National Tourism Registry in Colombia: Everything you need to knower

The RNT is a requirement for tourism service providers in Colombia. The registration or renewal process is free and must be done annually, with a renewal deadline of March 31st





What are the requirements to obtain RNT?


To obtain your RNT, you need the following:


  1. Be registered with your local Chamber of Commerce under the appropriate tourism-related activity.

  2. Hold an up-to-date RUT (Single Tax Registry).

  3. Comply with technical sector standards (NTS) relevant to your type of service.

  4. In some cases, hold valid civil liability insurance policies.

  5. Complete the process online at www.rues.org.co.

Step-by-step guide:

  1. Register the corresponding CIIU code for your tourism activity in the RUT.

  2. Go to www.rues.org.co

  3. Select the National Tourism Registry option

  4. Log in or create a new account

  5. Fill out the form with your business or personal information

  6. Upload the required documents

  7. Save and submit your application


How often Should be renowed the RNT


The RNT must be renewed annually between January 1st and March 31st. If not renewed on time, the registration will be automatically suspended, and you won’t be able to legally provide tourism services.
